We closed on Tuesday, and the property is officially ours now! We bought a trailer (a very nice Dutchmen 5th wheel travel trailer) to move in and stay in while we are working on our house for the next couple months. This trailer is parked about 30 feet away from the house, so we can easily go to and from the house each day while we are working on it. This past weekend Dad and Matt were working on the fence in the back yard and the front yard, to enclose the property for our dog, Mocha. We have decided on a white picket fence in the front of the yard. I think it will look so cute with the country aspect of the land!
Mom and I looked around the whole property and watered the trees and trimmed them back. We have many fruit trees including orange trees, plum trees, and peach trees.
We bought a mailbox and Dad built it for us. The postal service knows now that we've moved in and we got our first 'junk mail' yesterday! (I think that is cool, though it was just junk mail, at least the post man knows we live there now!) lol
